“Wait a minute,” you say. “He’s actually updated his site? Impossible!”

Yes, after 6 years (!) of the old green, white, and black, I’ve finally redone my site. Well, truth be told, I had a little help from WordPress 1.5. Great little blogging app, and quite customizable. I was suitably impressed the first time I used it. Now that I’m getting used to how it works (and creating themes), I find it’s quite the powerful tool. It’s probably a safe bet to assume I’ll be updating the site much more often, now that the publishing interface is a little more user-friendly (to me.)

You’ll see some familiar bits and pieces of my old site, re-skinned, re-vamped, re-etc. I kept some of the core, and added some new stuff, like the photo gallery (which pulls directly from my Flickr account), links in the sidebar to my del.icio.us postings, and other good stuff. My résumé is still woefully out-of-date, mind you. I’ll get around to updating it eventually. :)

Apologies to any mac users reading this - I don’t have a mac handy to test out the CSS layout on. Hopefully it’s all good for you guys; I’ve tested pretty extensively in IE6 & Firefox on Windows and everything seems pretty solid, barring a few pixel shifts.

Of course, I couldn’t ditch good ol’ Jack Handey, so he’s back in there along with the rest of the deep thoughts collection from the old site.

What else is new? Not much. Looks like today, Blizzard posted their World of Warcraft 1.4.0 update (patch notes), with PvP Honor system rewards included (alas, no Battlegrounds yet.) Their web servers seem to be taking a major hit, so don’t be surprised if it takes a good 20 minutes to load any of the site pages. :/

Anyhow, stay tuned for more frequent updates.
