wordpress upgraded
Just a quick note… I’ve finally gotten around to updating the site to WordPress 2.0.2, so if you see any glitches or general screwiness, please drop me a note and let me know.
I’ve been playing with Akismet, the built-in web service-driven comment spam blocking tool in WP 2.0, and I’m pretty impressed with it. In the couple of days I’ve had it running so far, it’s already caught 100 spam comments (!) out of 103 total spam comments posted.. that’s a pretty solid success ratio, if you ask me (especially compared to past tools I’ve tried.) As an aside, comment spam is seriously starting to get on my nerves. I get about 100 times more spam than I do actual comments.. if not more. It’s pretty painful. :(
Anyhow, I’m gonna go enjoy the sunshine on my patio for a couple of hours (yes, sunshine in Vancouver!) and savour the remaining half of my long weekend (a little bonus for still being part of the commonwealth…)

hey man, good to see you’re still alive and kicking. :) you still playing WoW or did they drag you back into DAOC?
anyhow, yeah, the COL site domain wasn’t renewed for whatever reason (I don’t run it, I just host the forums, so you’ll have to ask them what’s up), but you can still get to the forums here if you want to chat those guys up. I’ve talked to a couple of them so hopefully they’ve figured out how to get back to the site without the domain.
What, no sxore? hehehe. ;)
